Drug Take Back Box

Take It To The Box!

Did you know that New London has a prescription drug drop box? Prescription drugs are fast becoming a drug of choice for minors. Since prescription drugs are in every home with easy access, today's teens are taking drugs that were never meant for their consumption. The best way to properly dispose of these prescription drugs is through the drug drop-off box.

Expired prescription drugs that are flushed down the toilet will eventually be introduced into our water supply. The best way to dispose of old prescription drugs is through a drug drop-off box. The New London Community Connections Coalition (NLCCC) purchased a prescription drug drop-off box for the community to dispose of prescription drugs properly. When the box is full, the New London Police Department sends the contents to an incinerator to be burned.

When any prescription drugs are dropped in the box there are no questions asked. You may simply drop them in the box and leave. The prescription drug drop-off box is ready to use 24-7.
